Start Of Fashion Of course clothes were being made since the start of time but the creativity and focus on making clothes stylish dates back to the 19th century. Charles Fredrick Worth who is considered to be the Father of Haute Couture basically founded fashion. Being that he was living during the late 1800's he designed high waisted gowns with long thin muslin skirts. However, he of course made it more creative with color and different prints. Eventually, he passed and his interest and love for fashion became a generational thing as his sons and grandchildren continued his legacy. Creations: All creations except the picture protrait is displayed in The Met. As you can see Charles was more into making lavish evening gowns. Majority if not all his gowns were only sold to the wealthy women. His design are mostly notable for their luxurious fabrics and trimmings.
